If you're having problems running UnReaL, the following might help you:

  ù UnReaL requires a VGA (or better) graphics card.
  ù UnReaL requires a 386 (or better) processor.
  ù UnReaL must find its data file, UnReaL3.DAT, in the current directory
    to load.
  ù UnReaL uses a "swap file" called "SWAPFILE.3" - this file must NOT be
    marked "Read-Only" for UnReaL to function properly.
  ù UnReaL utilizes "smooth scroll" display.  If you are running under
    OS/2, make sure that "VIDEO_RETRACE_EMULATION" under "DOS settings"
    (on the "Session" page of your "DOS Full Screen" "Settings" notebook)
    is set to "Off".
  ù UnReaL should NEVER be run "windowed" - use a "Full Screen" session
    instead.

UnReaL is a DOS mode text-based application.  UnReaL has been tested under
recent versions of the OS/2 and MS-DOS operating systems, but has NOT been
tested under ANY version of the Windows operating environment.
